According to react native docs subscribeToNotifications prompts user to subscribe to push notifications. As I understand prompt have yes/no options.
Can I subscribe user without prompting?
Only Android supports subscribing to push notifications without requiring prompting the user for permission.
And our SDK subscribes Android users by default without any action required on their part.
iOS and the Web prompt the user for permission in order to be able to show a notification, so prompting the user is not a choice here.
It is even a UX recommended practice that you show a UI to inform the user of the benefits of subscribing to push notifications before prompting them for permission. This way the user knows why he is asked and what are the benefits to her.
